HPPLA LSAT Prep Workshop

Start Your LSAT Prep the Right Way

The LSAT is the single-most important factor in admissions and scholarship decisions for U.S. law schools. In fact, admissions decisions correlate strongly with specific LSAT scores at each of the nation's 200+ institutions. Therefore, it is more important than ever for prelaw students and alumni to set accurate LSAT goals and train properly to achieve them.

HPPLA offers several LSAT prep workshops each year. Exact dates and times vary and are announced periodically. Enrollment limited to 35 participants per workshop. See below for the latest information on upcoming workshops.

The best way to stay informed of LSAT workshop announcements is to sign up for the HPPLA Prelaw Email List. By registering, you will also receive notice of upcoming prelaw events, programs and visits by speakers and law school admissions officials.

Workshop Structure

The structure of the LSAT workshop may vary according to the instructor, but typically resembles the schedule below:

Session 1: Introduction and First Diagnostic Exam
Session 2: Logical Reasoning Introduction
Session 3: Logical Reasoning Continued
Session 4: Reading Comprehension and Writing Sample
Session 5: Second Diagnostic Exam and Workshop Review

The workshop is bookended by two diagnostic exams to provide participants with a working score at the beginning and end. Inbetween, participants will learn about the content and structure used to construct each section of the LSAT and the best ways to approach test questions.

Upon completion, participants will possess the conceptual background and skills they need to effectively train to reach their goal score. If needed, they are then encouraged to continue training with other workshop attendees using HPPLA's library of past exams or third-party resources.

Additional Resources

Not every potential law school applicant needs a live workshop to adequately prepare for the LSAT — and many need even more. In addition, all prelaw students and alumni are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a HPPLA prelaw advisor for a one-on-one discussion of their LSAT prep strategy.
